Jordan Spieth loses his cool during first round of 2018 Sony Open

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - With the exception of Adam Sandler in the cult golf film Happy Gilmore, golfers on the PGA Tour are renowned for keeping themselves centered and not let the stress of the media, spectators or competition get to them.

But Jordan Spieth had enough of during the first round of the 2018 Sony Open on Thursday, and lost his cool on the No. 8 hole at Waialae Country Club.

After hitting the bark of multiple trees and teeing-off into a ditch, Spieth was heard yelling, "You've got to be kidding me!" and "I can't believe this!" to himself.

But once spectators began recording Spieth's minor meltdown, he began to lose his temper with those watching, as seen in the video above.

Spieth would recover from the quadruple bogey and finish -1 for the first round.

He politely declined to speak with the media after his stressful round of 18 holes but Spieth will have an opportunity to bounce back from his current T56th position in this year's Sony Open in the second round on Friday.

Spieth's tee time is set for 12:40 p.m. HT (5:40 p.m. ET.)
