Guests can spend an elegant evening at Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort as the hotel’s signature restaurant, Bali Steak & Seafood, partners with Jackson Family Wines for a five-course pairing dinner. The resort will host master sommelier Michael Jordan who will lend his expertise, pairing the best from Jackson Family Wines with chef de cuisine Benjie Cabutaje’s five-course prix fixe menu.
Jordan, who serves as director of global key accounts for Jackson Family Wines, is one of just 15 people in the world who holds both the title of master sommelier and certified wine educator. In addition to this world-class honor, Jordan has been dubbed “sommelier for the people” for his down-to-earth approach to wine and his passion for showing people how to bring the enjoyment of wine into the meals and gatherings of everyday life at a reasonable price. Jordan also has deep Hawaii ties. Some of his first experiences in food and beverage were working in his father’s restaurant – Waikiki’s former classic Italian eatery, Matteo’s.
The special tasting dinner will also welcome the expansion of Bali Steak & Seafood’s wine list. By the end of January, the restaurant will serve a selection from Jackson Family Wines bringing the total by the glass offerings to more than 35 wines and the bottle list to more than 150 offerings.
