MANOA, OAHU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Two hikers are safe after spending the night on the Manoa Falls Trail.
The Honolulu Fire Department said it initially received a call around 8:30 p.m. Monday that there was a possible lost hiker.
More than 15 personnel searched by foot and by air, but could not make contact. The search was suspended until first light Tuesday.
HFD resumed its search at around 7:20 a.m. and located two men.
Authorities said the men were somewhere near the top of the falls when they got lost. After they called for help, their phone died, so they hunkered down for the night.
HFD got the pair out safely at around 7:30 a.m.
