Hawaiian Airlines to launch daily routes to Long Beach

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Hawaiian Airlines is launching a new route for travelers heading to Long Beach, Calif.

The airline announced Monday daily service between Honolulu and Long Beach will begin in summer.

Company executives say the new route will open the door for more visitors to Hawaii.

"Long Beach is a perfect gateway for travelers in Los Angeles and Orange County to ease into their Hawaiian vacation," Peter Ingram, Hawaiian's executive vice president and chief commercial officer, said. "We look forward to welcoming our guests onboard, where they will enjoy our award-winning Hawaiian hospitality in the comfort of our newest aircraft."

Hawaiian Airlines said the inaugural flight will depart Long Beach at 8:30 a.m. on June 1, and land in Honolulu just before noon.

The return flight is scheduled to leave Oahu at 12:30 p.m. and land in Long Beach at 9 p.m.

One-way flights begin at $279.
