HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Honolulu is sleep-deprived.
That's according to a new survey from Amerisleep, which found that nearly half of Honolulu residents get less than the recommended seven hours of sleep per night.
The survey asked people in 500 cities across the country about their sleeping habits.
Gary, Ind. ranked worst in the survey, while Detroit took the second-worst spot and Honolulu rounded out the bottom three.
People in Fort Collins, Co. are the most rested. About 75 percent of residents get at least seven hours of sleep nightly.
Amerisleep found that social media, TV and other distractions are contributing to lack of sleep.
