HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The next bout of the 'Blessed' Era has been booked for Las Vegas.
The UFC announced Monday that Waianae native Max Holloway will defend his featherweight titled against Frankie Edgar at UFC 222 on March 3, 2018. The fight is scheduled to take place at the T-Mobile Arena, just off the Las Vegas Strip.
Holloway earned the UFC's featherweight belt in Brazil last year by defeating Jose Aldo, a victory that extended his winning streak to 11 and unified the UFC's 145-pound weight class.
He defeated Aldo a second time in December after Edgar, a former lightweight champion himself, was forced to withdraw from the fight with an injury.
Both fights have ended via stoppage in the third round.
