WAIANAE, OAHU (HawaiiNewsNow) -

A 17-year-old boy was arrested in Waianae early Saturday and charged with kidnapping and robbery offenses.

Honolulu police did not release the boy's name, but say he was arrested after allegedly asking a 47-year-old man for a ride. He then got in to the vehicle, threatened the driver and took control of the vehicle.

The incident happened Friday around 10 p.m. and the teen was arrested just after midnight.

After taking the vehicle, two other passengers got in with the teen. Police identified them as 23-year-old Williamette Gonsalves, and 26-year-old Justin Perez.

The two passengers were also arrested on Lualualei Homestead Road near Farrington Highway for unauthorized motor vehicle entry and drug offenses.

No injuries were reported.
