Hawaiian music takes center stage in a new show debuting on K-5 called "KFVE MELE: The Music & Mana`o Series." Bruddah Wade is the host. Bruddah Wade is a long time Hawaiian music/radio veteran and works together with Randy Hudnall on HawaiianMusicLive.XYZ; Hawaii's Internet Radio.  It puts him in the perfect position because of his relationship with the hawaiian music community to tell the stories of the songs of our Hawaiian Song Makers on television.

KFVE-TV proudly announces its newest locally-produced program, KFVE MELE, which will make its debut on Sunday, January 7 from 7-8pm. The weekly show will feature local musicians performing some of their most beloved songs and will also feature informal "talk story" moments with the artists as they discuss the meaning and origins of these songs.

Hosted by Bruddah Wade Faildo the show will be shot on site each week at a different location of each artist's choosing. Artists to be featured in the 19 original shows planned for season #1 include Nathan Aweau, Natalie Ai Kamauu, Maunalua, Na Hoa &, Josh Tatofi, and Mark Yamanaka, with more big names to be announced in the coming weeks.
