KO OLINA, OAHU (HawaiiNewsNow) -

The voyaging canoe Hokulea will sail into Ko Olina on Wednesday morning as part of its ongoing mahalo tour.

The Hokulea will arrive at Ko Olina Resort at 10 a.m., where it will be docked for about three weeks.

Anyone who wants to take a tour of the canoe can do so starting Thursday through Jan. 9, and again from Jan. 22 through Feb. 2. Tours run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.

On Wednesday at 2 p.m., female voyagers will give a talk – entitled “The Real Moanas” -- at the Aulani resort.

The mahalo tour is the Polynesian Voyaging Society’s way of thanking the community for ongoing support with the worldwide voyage.
