Milton named Peach Bowl Offensive MVP, leads UCF to undefeated season

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - They didn't earn the right to compete for a national title. They were ranked as the underdogs entering the Peach Bowl. But, after defeating seventh ranked Auburn 34-27, the 12th ranked UCF Knights became the only ranked college football team to end the season a perfect 13-0. And, leading the way for Central Florida was Mililani's own, McKenzie Milton.

The former Trojan threw for two touchdowns and rushed for another TD for the Knights. For the first time in his collegiate career he broke 100 rushing yards in game. His 117 yards on the ground was more than any other player, for UCF or Auburn. In fact, it was more than the Tigers top two running backs combined.

Milton was named the Offensive MVP of the Peach Bowl for his performance. But, the Knights defense was equally impressive - stopping a late Auburn offensive push.

UCF's perfect season come just two years after suffering a winless 0-12 year in 2015. The victory marks the team's final game with head coach Scott Frost who will be heading to his alma mater, Nebraska to coach the Cornhuskers.
