Nice trade wind weather will dominate the first week of 2018, with clouds and limited showers for windward areas and mostly clear skies leeward. Rainfall will be below normal. This also goes for New Year's Eve, with mostly dry conditions at the stroke of midnight.
A Small Craft Advisory remains posted for the usual windier waters around Maui County and the Big Island. A small rise in surf is expected Monday for north and west shores, with some slightly overhead sets north.
