WAILUKU, MAUI (HawaiiNewsNow) - As Maui grappled with heavy rains early Thursday, someone walked into a Wailuku parking lot and punctured the tires of at least 19 county vehicles.

Officials said surveillance video shows the suspect damaging the tires about 5:30 a.m.

"It was pouring rain this morning and this guy is running around in a raincoat and in many cases puncturing all four tires of each vehicle he hit," said Maui County Communications Director Rod Antone.

"According to the video he was working quickly while it was still dark out, but we're hoping someone can help police identify him."

The incident happened of the Kaohu Street side of the parking lot of the Kalana O Maui County building, at 200 South High Street.

Anyone with information is asked to call police.
