A weak front combined with an upper level disturbance will likely produce scattered showers — with some possibly heavy — Tuesday through Wednesday. The front will move over Kauai tonight and spread to the Big Island overnight.
A drier air mass is due back Thursday and Friday.
A west-northwest swell will hold firm Wednesday, so the Triple Crown of Surfing could continue at Haleiwa. A new north-northeast swell should pick up tonight with rough surf for east-facing shores.
