A pilot was forced to land a helicopter at Waipio Soccer Complex on Tuesday after encountering mechanical issues.
No one was injured in the soft landing, and the chopper was not damaged.
The incident happened about 1 p.m., after the helicopter had taken off from Kalaeloa and been in the air for about five minutes.
The pilot and passenger on board the helicopter were headed to Molokai to help in the search for a chopper missing since Monday night.
The helicopter that made the emergency landing is registered to a flight school.
