Punahou and KS-Hawaii to clash for division one boys volleyball state title

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) -

It will be a meeting of the top two seeds in both divisions of the HHSAA Boys Volleyball State Championships.

In division one, top-ranked Punahou cruised past Waiakea for a straight set win (25-16, 25-15, 25-16). The Buffanblu will play for their sixth consecutive state title. They'll have to beat #2 Kamehameha-Hawaii after the Warriors swept 'Iolani (25-18, 25-21, 25-21). 

#1 Hawaii Baptist swept #4 Molokai while #2 Kapaa swept St. Francis in the division two semifinals.

The D2 championship Saturday begins at 5 pm at Neal Blaisdell Center. The D1 championship will follow.
