A cold front is moving towards Oahu with more scattered showers and the threat for thunderstorms with heavy rain through the weekend.
A FLASH FLOOD WATCH is on for the entire state except for Kauai through Saturday morning.
Heavy downpours hit Kauai and Oahu today so a FLOOD ADVISORY for both islands.
Brisk northerly winds will fill in behind the front, bringing cool temperatures to Kauai tonight and Oahu tomorrow. And while Oahu and Kauai dry out a bit on Saturday it will be only temporary.
An upper level disturbance is set to enhance the rainfall and help to trigger and spread more thunderstorms through the weekend, especially for Maui and the Big Island on Sunday and Monday.
More normal tradewind conditions are not due back until the middle to latter part of next week.
A south swell has picked up and will start to decline Saturday. A HIGH SURF ADVISORY is on until Saturday morning.
A new northwest swell is expected Saturday with below advisory level wave heights.
