Just before Mothers Day, the Moana Surfrider, a Westin Resort and Spa, is offering a special event. On May 13, 2017, the day before Mothers Day, the resort will have an afternoon tea and fashion show for mothers and daughters on the Veranda. Starting at noon, savory and sweet treats will be offered. For the adults, there will be truffle egg salad tea sandwiches, smoked salmon on rye with furikake cream cheese, duck prosciutto on croissant and curry lobster rolls. For the kids up to 12 years old, they'll get a selection of ham and cheddar, peanut butter and jelly, turkey and swiss and egg salad. For everyone, there will be a jasmine tea roll cake with fresh strawberry, guava macaroon with a chocolate daisy and Cinnamon Girl dress mini-cupcakes.
Then at 12:30, Cinnamon Girl will have a fashion show including looks for women and girls. There will also be opportunities for everyone to take pictures in front of a custom garland backdrop.
The cost for adults is $70 (plus tax and gratuity) and $35 for kids up to 12 years of age. You can make a reservation by calling 808.921.4600. There is also a kamaaina rate offered that weekend for $239 per night that includes self parking for one car and waives the resort fee. Just use the code KAMVIP.
