Aloha United Way presents Chocolate, Champagne and Couture for a Cause 2017

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) -

On Saturday, April 29, Aloha United Way will be hosting their annual Women United Chocolate, Champagne and Couture for a Cause event at The Royal Hawaiian Hotel, presented by the Honolulu Star Advertiser – the ultimate girl’s day out. With delectable chocolates, delicious eats and champagne, relaxing massages, and a spring fashion show, courtesy of Nordstrom, this is a simple way to treat yourself and your friends to  fun afternoon, while also showing your support for women’s initiatives in our community through Aloha United Way.  Women United is Aloha United Way’s diverse group of extraordinary women leaders who are engaged in philanthropy, advocacy and are passionate about creating lasting change in the community. These women are committed to significantly improving the quality of life for a better tomorrow.

Chocolate, Champagne and Couture For a Cause will feature delectable chocolates, delicious eats and champagne, a spring fashion show, and relaxing massages. There will also be lavish prize packages and silent and live auctions. All proceeds benefit the hundreds of nonprofits AUW supports throughout the year. Over the past few years, the event has raised over $50,000 to support partner agencies in our local community, representing a wide variety of issue areas, from homelessness to children with illness.

The most important thing Aloha United Way does for the community is to encourage individuals from all walks of life to join together to create hope and change the landscape of our community for the better. By focusing on 3 impact areas – Education, Poverty Prevention and Safety Net – AUW can drive and support significant social change, fund collective impact, prevent problems before they begin, and help the vulnerable in the community who need assistance now.

Guests will have a chance to bid on items in the silent auction, including stunning handbags, artwork, overnight stays and accessories. There will also be a live auction for first-class roundtrip airline tickets from Alaska Airlines.

Tickets can be purchased at:, by phone at (808) 536-1951 or email
