Forecast: Showers this morning, but sunshine this afternoon

Your Wednesday will have a wetter morning, Oahu especially. But the showers will give way to sunshine by mid-day.
Skies will be partly to mostly sunny. Leeward coastlines will be your best bet for blue overhead.
High in Honolulu will be 85 degrees.
An approaching cold front will start turning our winds southeasterly by tomorrow. That will mean higher humidity levels and increased vog. Your throat may already be scratchy from the volcanic haze. It will be worse tomorrow.
That front won't reach Kauai until Friday afternoon, but increased moisture and instability in our atmosphere could result in heavy showers as early as Thursday afternoon. A wet weekend is looking more and more likely.
Surf is slightly elevated north and west today. The south side will get bigger starting tomorrow and wave heights could approach 8 feet which would trigger a High Surf Advisory Friday.
Today's waves will be 5-7 feet north, 3-5 feet west, 2-4 feet east, 1-3 feet south.
Small Craft Advisory for the Alenuihaha Channel and all Hawaii Island coastal waters.
