The U.S. Coast Guard and U.S. Navy on Wednesday morning rescued a Vietnamese fisherman who was suffering severe abdominal pain while on his fishing vessel off Oahu.
The call came around 7 a.m. from the 68-foot commercial fishing vessel approximately 275 miles south of Oahu.
The 30-year-old was medevaced to the Queen’s Medical Center, where he arrived in good condition.
Winds were about 17 mph with 7-foot seas.
