Waters along the coast from Honokaa to Pahoa are under the advisory.
The Department of Health is advising the public to stay out of flood waters and storm runoff due to potentially hazardous materials.
Flood waters may contain pesticides, fecal matter, chemicals and other flood debris that can lead to serious health problems.
Not all waters are affected, but health officials say, if the water is brown, stay out.
