HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) -

Hundreds of film extras showed up to 'Iolani Palace Sunday morning to be a part of the film "Go For Broke". The film is a depiction of the story of the 442nd Regimental Combat Team, and their role in WWII.

King Street will be closed for several hours Sunday as the street will serve as a backdrop for a historic scene.

Portions of the street will be closed from noon to 8 p.m. as actors reenact a March 1943 event. Over 2,500 Japanese American soldiers marched down King Street to 'Iolani Palace as thousands waved them on.
