The light wind weather pattern will persist through Aloha Friday. Morning sunshine will give way to afternoon clouds with spotty downpours, maybe even a few thunderstorms with Maui and Oahu the likeliest spots.
More stable tradewind conditions are due back for the Easter weekend.
New swells are expected for town and country shores on Friday. A new NNW will bump up north and west shores, but remain well below advisory levels. A small, long-period south swell will start arriving as early as this evening and stay with us through the weekend.
A Flood Advisory is in effect for Oahu until 10:30 p.m., Thursday. A Wind Advisory is posted for the Big Island summits. SW winds are 40-50 mph with gusts to 60 mph.
