Light winds and a few passing showers this morning, mainly windward and mauka. Sunny, blue skies for much of the day, but by mid-afternoon dramatic changes are possible.
Due to instability aloft, dark clouds may form over interior and leeward neighborhoods and heavy showers could follow. There is a slight chance of thundershowers.
High in Honolulu will be 84 degrees.
New swells are expected town and country over the next 24 hours. A new north-northwest will bump up north and west shores, but remain well below advisory levels. A small, long-period south swell will start arriving as early as this evening and stay with us through the weekend.
Today's waves will be 4-6 feet north, 2-4 feet east, west, and south.
A Wind Advisory is posted for the Big Island summits. SW winds are 40-50 mph with gusts to 60 mph.
