Enjoy the breezy trade winds today. They will be disappearing for the weekend.
Your Aloha Friday will have winds peaking in the 15-25 mph range. That should help keep you cool when the sun warms us to 83 degrees in Honolulu. Showers are few and far between.
Winds Saturday and Sunday will be light and from the southeast. That will bring us humid air from down near the equator and volcanic haze from the Big Island. Prepare for the vog, especially if you have respiratory issues.
Surf continues to be small around the state. A developing northwest swell we have been watching, expected Tuesday night, will be smaller than anticipated and not reach advisory levels.
Waves today will be 4-6 feet north, 2-4 feet east and west, less than 3 feet south.
Small Craft Advisory for Maalaea Bay, the Pailolo and Alenuihaha channel, along with coastal waters south and west of the Big Island.
