Two people die after being pulled from waters off Hanauma Bay

HANAUMA BAY, OAHU (HAWAIINEWSNOW) -
Two people died after being pulled from Hanauma bay Wednesday evening.
Ocean Safety officials provided this information:
At 5:22pm, Ocean Safety responded to a male snorkeler who was found unresponsive roughly 200 yards from shore at Hanauma Bay. Lifeguards brought the male to shore where cardiopulmonary resuscitation was performed. Emergency Medical Services pronounce the male, 20s, dead at the scene. Shortly thereafter, lifeguards brought a female patient, 20s, to shore where CPR was performed. EMS pronounced the female dead at the scene. The female patient was found roughly 50 yards from shore. At this time, the cases along with the relationship between the deceased is under investigation.
Hanauma Bay is closed at this time as officials investigate.
