Police looking for suspect in attempted purse snatching at Costco

Police are asking for the public's help in tracking down a suspect in an attempted purse snatching at Costco Iwilei.

The attempted robbery happened April 1 about 9:20 a.m., when the victim said she was putting her purchases into her car. She said she saw the thief grab her bag and confronted him.

After struggling with the woman, the male suspect gave up and jumped into a waiting dark-colored Chrysler 300.

"Now I feel kind of I have to watch out in the parking lot and then they gonna be someplace else and not even here," said the victim, who identified herself as Sunny. "They're gonna be look for grab the bags so people gotta watch out."

The suspect as described as being in his 20s, and is about 5-foot-4. He has black short wavy hair and a goatee.

Anyone with information is asked to call Honolulu police.
