Light winds for the western half of the state with pop up afternoon showers along with lots of sunshine. Brisk tradewinds will pick up over the weekend with a slight increase in windward showers.
Surf is building along north and west shores tonight. Sometime after midnight the swell will start hitting Oahu, peaking Friday afternoon at warning levels. That size of surf is dangerous to life and property. Stay alert and stay safe. Experts only in the water and watch the waves from a location well back from the shoreline.
Wave sizes tomorrow: North 20-30 feet, West 15-20 feet, East and South 2-4 feet.
HIGH SURF WARNING for most north and west shores through Saturday morning
