A 72-year-old woman died after she was pulled from the waters off Kapalua Bay, Wednesday.
Bystanders pulled the woman to shore just after 10 a.m. Maui Fire and Rescue workers arrived shortly after, and performed CPR. She was unresponsive and could not be revived.
Maui fire officials say the woman was from Minnesota. She was snorkeling in the bay with another family member when she found found about 50 yards from the shore.
