Sunshine and huge surf will make up the bulk of the forecast. A ridge of high pressure to the north will keep trade winds blowing through the weekend. Those winds could increase a bit by Sunday. There are very few clouds and no organized rainmakers, so any showers will be light and mainly for the usual windward and mauka areas. Otherwise expect mostly sunny conditions.
A large late season west-northwest swell will push surf to warning levels on Kauai and Niihau and the west shores of the Big Island. The swell will be shadowed on Oahu, Molokai and Maui, but waves will still surpass advisory levels.
Here are the current warnings and advisories:
High Surf Warning: North and west shores of Niihau and Kauai and west shores of the Big Island until 6 a.m. Monday.
High Surf Advisory: North and west shores of Oahu and Molokai and the north shores of Maui until 6 a.m. Monday.
Small Craft Advisory: All Hawaiian waters until 6 a.m. Monday.
