A wanted parolee with multiple felony convictions surrended to Sheriffs on Friday afternoon, the state Department of Public Safety says.
A manhunt had been underway for 39-year-old Bronson Gouveia. Authorities say he will be taken to the Oahu Community Correctional Center for processing before being transported to the Halawa prison.
Authorities first tried to arrest Gouveia on Tuesday morning after a routine check in with his parole officer.
Sources say Gouveia was going to be arrested again at the time for violating parole conditions. As authorities arrived, he instead fled the building and rode off in a waiting car.
Gouveia rap sheet includes convictions for robbery and attempted assault, as well as weapons and drug charges.
