Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson issued a heartfelt message to a Hawaii Make-a-Wish child Wednesday, choking back tears in an Instagram video as he urged the child to "stay strong."
Johnson posted the message on Instagram, and within 25 minutes it had already garnered more than 150,000 views.
He delivered the message to Taitusi, a 13-year-old child in Honolulu who wanted to meet Johnson.
Because Johnson is filming in Las Vegas, he wasn't able to meet the child in person.
But he said he'd already learned much about the teen, and wanted to let him know that they shared lots of similarities.
"You love chicken, I love chicken," Johnson quipped. "Your favorite color is red. I love red."
Johnson added, "I want you to know even though I'm not able to see you and be with you, you're already one of the most amazing kids I have ever spoken to. You are stronger than I will ever be. Stay strong."
The actor and entertainer, a native of the islands, had to pause to hold back tears as he wrapped up the message.
On his Instagram post, he added, "You inspire every single person around you right now."
