Remember Al Landon? He was head of Bank of Hawaii for six years to 2010. He's back, teaching a class at UH Manoa starting next week. It's called, "Lawyers In Business."

All morning you'll hear about local programs whose federal funding doesn't appear in President Trump's budget. A point about that: despite talk of dismantling the administrative state in Washington, much of what the budget cuts is money sent straight to states. Hawaii gets 25 percent of its state government funding from federal money, and that's below the average, which is 30 percent.
