Kuana Torres Kahele gives the residents of Lanai the gift of music

Beginning on Friday, March 17th, 2017, renowned Hawaiian artist, Kuana Torres Kahele will be gifting his latest album to the Lana'i Community.  He will also be having a concert and fundraiser for the Lana'i Culture & Heritage Center on June 3rd at the Lana'i Four Seasons Beach Resort.

The CD and concert in June will feature new mele (songs) composed by Kuana to celebrate the 'aina (land), mo'olelo (history), and 'ohana (families) of Lana'i. The Lana'i Culture & Heritage Center is pleased to announce that Kuana's new music CD, "Lana'ikaula" will be arriving on Lana'i, and made available, free-of-charge to each household on island. This gift cd of new music for Lana'i is made possible through a partnership with Kuana's production company, the Lana'i Culture & Heritage Center, and through a generous grant from the Agape Foundation.

CDs will be available (one each to Lana'i household) during normal business hours of the Lana'i Culture & Heritage Center (Mon.-Fri. 8:30-3:30 and Sat. 9-1). Please bring your ID with address to pick up your CD. This gift of music to Lana'i is free, but donations will be gratefully accepted, and support on-going work of the Lana'i Culture & Heritage Center—with emphasis on our summer program being offered to Lana' youth at no charge between June 12 to July 7, 2017.
