Forecast: Relief from the vog still days away

The light variable winds will persist through Thursday, so the vog will continue to hang in the air along with higher humidity levels.

Rainfall is minimal with some afternoon showers for a handful of spots from the daytime heating.

Clearing skies will occur as the land breezes takeover at night.

No change in our weather is expected until a weak cold front passes through on Friday. Moderate to breezy trade winds will fill in behind that front and stay through the middle of next week ... hopefully beyond.

Surf is dropping along north and west shores. The next advisory swell is forecast for east shores this weekend. Surf sizes today will be 7-10 feet north, 4-7 feet west, 1-3 feet east and south.

No marine or weather advisories are posted.
