After 45 years in business, Itsu's Fishing Supplies in Hilo will be closing its doors on Friday.
Owners Wade and Gwen Kitamura are retiring.
The Piilani Street store is known for plate lunches, gravy burgers, hot dogs, chili and shave ice.
The new owners will reopen the store on April 1 and are expected to continue Itsu's recipes. And, they plan to sell shave ice.
But the current owners are taking their old school shave ice machine with them — or as many Hilo residents prefer to call it, "ice shave."
