The man accused of trying to run over police officers near the McDonald’s in Wailuku a week ago was arrested on Sunday.
Samson Hill, 28, was charged with several crimes, including first-degree attempted murder, police said. A 33-year-old woman was also arrested on suspicion of hindering prosecution.
Police had been looking for Hill after the incident on March 6 in which an officer discharged a firearm following a confrontation involving a stolen vehicle.
Hill was taken into custody at his home in Hana. His bail has been set at $500,000.
