We're in for a prolonged period of hazy and humid weather. Light background winds from the southeast will spread volcanic haze from the Big Island. Conditions are still a touch on the unstable side, so there's a chance of afternoon clouds and pop-up showers.
A weak cold front will move just to the north of the islands Sunday; if there's any showers from this system, it will be mainly for Kauai. More stable conditions are expected Monday, but hazy skies, light winds and afternoon clouds will be the pattern through Thursday.
Surf will rise on north and west shores by late afternoon, peaking just below advisory levels.
