HECO has fully restored power on Oahu's West Side following an early morning accident that snapped a power pole alongside Farrington Highway.
The accident happened just before 6:30 a.m.. About 1550 customers in Nanakuli, Waianae and Maili were without power as crews worked to fix a pole left leaning pole.
No one was injured in the accident. Power was fully restored around 10:30 a.m.
Two westbound lanes remain closed as crews fix extensive damage to the pole and cables. East bound lanes are being contra-flowed. Repairs are expected to last until Saturday afternoon.
