Entertainment: Moonlight, Pirates of the Caribbean and Journey/Willie K.

Oscars best picture winner 'Moonlight' is heading back to the theaters this weekend... including several big screens in Hawaii.  Moonlight's distributor says about 15-hundred theaters will carry the film.  It was originally released to only 11-hundred theaters.

New this morning:  the latest trailer for the upcoming Disney movie;  "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales".  Disney has also released graphics showing the next phase of gruesomeness:  Ghost Sharks.  Also the trailer showing tremendous CGI action with a younger Johnny Depp.

Journey just played here in Honolulu at the Blaisdell Arena last week to rave reviews, especially since Journey started out with hit after hit for the first 45 minutes of the concert.  Willie K opened the concert also to rave reviews; but on Maui it was a different story.  Willie K jammed with weekend birthday boy Neal Schon!  He jammed and sang with Journey during their final number on stage.  Mahalo to Lyn Alpuro for sharing the video on Facebook.
It should be said though that this is Willie K's home island; he is well known for jamming with some of the best musicians in the world; some of them coming to seekout the amazing entertainer and recording artist from Maui.  Mick Fleetwood is part of his circle on Maui, Steven Tyler is always stopping by, Prince jumped up on stage to play with him before.  It's always an amazing time with Willie K., he is IMHO one of the best mulch-genre artists that Hawaii has had.  No one can touch Willie when it comes to Hawaiian music, contemporary Hawaiian, Reggae, Rock and Roll, Rock, Latin, classical/opera...and I'm sure I'm just scratching the surface.
