The state's new Family Assessment Center homeless shelter at Kakaako Waterfront Park could be without water until Friday.
That's because of a broken piece of plumbing that cut water to showers, bathrooms and water faucets.
Some 47 people live at the shelter and arrangements are being made with nearby Next Step Shelter to make sure the residents have access to showers and restroom facilities.
The Hawaii Community Development Authority, which oversees the park, said the delay in repairs is because a replacement part has to be flown in.
