Entertainment: Bruno Mars on 60 Minutes, AMAs, Aulii Cravalho

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Bruno Mars made his first appearance on the CBS show 60 minutes this past weekend.  It not only took people on a journey here to his hometown of Honolulu.  It also told the story of what drives him to make great music.  It also showed his a little of his first concert before he released his new full length album.  60 Minutes said it served as a dress rehearsal for the new tour.

Bruno Mars also sizzled and dazzled as he opened the 2016 AMA's last night in Los Angeles.  You'll see more Bruno Mars soon; Late Late Show host James Corden revealed on Instagram that Mars would be appearing on the viral sing-along segment Carpool Karaoke

While we're talking about the AMA's last night:  Chart toppers from Nicki Minaj to Drake to Sting also took to the stage.  Selena Gomez took home the award for favorite female pop artist.   Thanking her fans and getting emotional talking about body image in her acceptance speech.  The Voice star Adam Levine and Maroon 5 performed for the first time alongside Rapper Kendrick Lamar; but it was Ariana Grande who walked away with the top prize of Artist of the Year.

"Moana" Star/Hawaii Girl Aulii Cravalho is on the move with the release of "Moana" finally having it's premieres' around the world!  She met the Polynesian stage actor that plays Simba in The Lion King, London!  She also attended a live taping of X Factor UK and spent time with Nicole Scherzinger backstage!  She said aloha to London and moves on to her next destination...Which will be Toronto, Canada!  Awesome to see Aulii traveling and holding up well!
