A police investigation shut down a portion of Wilikina Drive in Wahiawa early Tuesday, but all lanes have since been reopened.
Officials said at around 2 a.m., there was an incident involving a man with a knife at Schofield Barracks. He ran through the McNair gate, then got into a confrontation with police on Wilikina Drive.
He was taken into custody at around 3:50 a.m.
Police shut down the southbound lanes of Wilikina Drive, between Kamananui Road and Kunia Road. Lanes were reopened around 5:40 a.m.
