A third swimmer died in waters off Kauai in less than two weeks, county officials said.
The latest victim was identified as 53-year-old Janet Ballesteros, of Hanamaulu.
Emergency crews were alerted of a swimmer in distress off Hanakapiai Beach on Saturday at around 11:30 a.m.
High surf initially made it difficult to locate Ballesteros, but lifeguards eventually found her body in a nearby cave.
Her body was flown to a landing zone on Kee Beach.
A High Surf Warning was in effect over the weekend due to a large northwest swell.
