HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A series of large swells continues to roll into Hawaiian shores.
According to the National Weather Service, surf will rise to nearly 20 feet along north and west shores of Oahu, Niihau, Kauai and Molokai, and north shores of Maui. As a result, a High Surf Advisory has been issued for these areas.
Surf will reach 14 to 18 feet along north and west shores of Niihau, Kauai and Molokai, and north shores of Oahu and Maui. Surf will rise to 14 feet along west shores of Oahu.
The advisory is in effect until 6 p.m. Tuesday.
Forecasters say beachgoers should expect very strong breaking waves and strong longshore and rip currents.
