HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - HPD may have gotten a break in an attempted murder case as they recovered a stolen car connected to a shooting near UH Manoa.
Police opened a first-degree attempted murder investigation after a shooting on Metcalf Street on Sept. 20.
It was reported that a man in his 20s with a tattoo across his stomach fired several shots at two men trying to recover a stolen Nissan vehicle.
HPD recovered the car Saturday evening in the Kalihi area around 5:45 p.m.
Police are investigating and describe the suspect as 5' 4" to 5' 7" tall and 130 to 140 lbs.
No one was hurt and no arrests have been made.
