A Haleiwa store is cleaning up the damage after an early morning burglary Sunday.
The owner of Dawn's Treasures said around 4 a.m., someone smashed a vehicle through the front of the shop, leaving blocks of concrete and broken glass everywhere.
The thieves didn't take any merchandise, but got away with an empty cash register.
Dawn Patao Yoon, the store's owner, says it's unsettling to know this happened in the quiet North Shore community.
"I was shocked. I couldn't believe this happened. I've been in business for 16 years and I've heard of these things starting to happen around Haleiwa, but never thought it would happen to our type of store," Yoon said.
Yoon believes the criminals cut the store's electricity from the breaker box behind the building, leaving her security surveillance system useless.
No arrests have been made. Anyone with information should call Honolulu Police.
