PAIA, MAUI (HawaiiNewsNow) - Maui police are looking for the culprits who burglarized Holy Rosary Church in Paia.
Sources say crooks broke in through a window overnight.
The church's deacon, Patrick Constantino says someone took a safe that contained cash along with the priest's white Toyota Matrix and a coffee maker.
"Very heartbroken, I didn't think people would do something like this with the church," Constantino said. "We are so trusting, we figured well OK then we get hit like this. I mean they were probably watching last night, cause we had service."
The church's office, rectory and multi-purpose building was also ransacked.
Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to call Maui Police.
