MANOA, OAHU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The University of Hawaii is building its support for domestic violence survivors by teaming up with the state Coalition Against Domestic Violence.
The partnership aims to provide much-needed education to students on campus and support for survivors.
"There is expertise in the community organizations that we don't have and that frankly we shouldn't need to duplicate because it's here to serve the community. And we in our campuses are part of that community. I'm really grateful for this opportunity," University of Hawaii President, David Lassner said.
As part of the partnership, the University says it can now provide support services on and off campus.
