Drier and more stable trade wind weather should begin settling over the islands Monday and Monday night and remain for much of the coming week. Trade winds will still remain quite breezy Monday but ease up just slightly Tuesday and Wednesday. No major organized rainmakers are expected, with the usual night and morning showers for windward areas and lots of leeward sunshine.
A High Surf Advisory remains in effect for east-facing shores and a Small Craft Advisory is posted for all Hawaiian coastal waters until 6 p.m. Monday. A large north-northwest swell could push surf well above advisory levels and perhaps into warning levels late Wednesday and Thursday.
